Summer excursions with "Marco", our guide
Excursion in Cortina d'Ampezzo - the "5 Torri" (the 5 towers)
You drive with Marco by "Defender" the Badia Valley until the Valparola (2.190 M) and Falzarego (2.100 M) mountain passes. A little later, after perhaps 45 minutes of driving, you reach the parking place (1.889 M). By lift you reach the "Scoiattoli" refuge(2.255 M). From there you start hiking up on the "439" path for 1 1/2 hours to the Nuvolau refuge (2.575 m). The panorama over Cortina d'Ampezzo and the Marmolada is simply unique! After, you start descending until the Averau refuge (2.416 m) where a panorama-rich and well prepared meal is waiting for you. After lunch you go back to the "Scoiattoli" refuge where you take a look to the first world war open-space museum. By lift you go back to the parking place. >>>
Excursion to the "Lagazuoi" peak - museum of the 1st world war, 2.756 m
We drive for parhaps 45 minutes to the "Falzarego" pass (2.109 m.). After 40 minutes walk we reach the war-galleries. We hike up looking at dummies, historical founds and wonderful views until we reach the "Antecima" (little peak) of Lagazuoi. After further 20 Minuten we reach the real peak (2.756 m.). We'll have lunch at Lagazuoi refuge with a special panorama on Marmolada, 5 Torri, Tofane, Fanes natural park...where in winter there is a skiing slope we'll walk down back to the parking place. >>>
Excursion to the "Munt da Rina" mountain
We drive for 20 minutes to the sport ground of "Rina". Walking a pleasant path after 1 1/2 hours we reach the "Fodares" refuge (1947 m.). We walk on to the "Val dal Lé" refuge (2.030 M.) where we enjoy lunch. On the path 20/B we walk short up to the wonderful "Munt da Rina" mountain lake mirroring the majestic Pütia peak! The path brings us to the cross of the "Col dal Lé" hill where the mountains panorama simply wonderful is! A pleasant walk brings us back to the car. >>>
The turn of "Pütia" peak
Starting from the "Passo delle Erbe" parking place (2.000 m), following the path 8a through the "Campaccio" meadows, you reach the western side of the Pütia peak. It goes up to the "Forcella del Pütia" (2.357 m). After it's up and down until you reach the "Göma" pass (2.111 m). Through woods and pastures back to the "Campaccio" meadows (north of the "Sasso Pütia) for reaching the parking place, again. >>>
Excursion to the "Tre Cime di Lavaredo" peaks
By "Defender" we drive for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the "Auronzo" refuge (2.333 m). The hike on path number 104 starts towards Col di Mezzo pass (2.315 m.). It goes simply down to the Malga Longa refuge (2.240 m). The ascent than to the "Locatelli" refuge (2.450 m) is wonderful and the highlight of the excursion to the "Tre Cime di Lavaredo" peaks is the panorama and the good meal! The descent brings to the Lavaredo refuge (2.344 M). Shortly later we reach, again, the "Auronzo" refuge. The whole excursion takes about 5 hours. >>>
Excursion to the Monte Muro peak, 2.332 m
From Aqua Bad Cortina we drive the Badia Valley until San Martino in Badia. On the right side we drive up, passing "Antermoja" village, to the foot of the "Passo delle Erbe" pass to the "Pè de Börz" parking place (1.853 m). From there we start walking for a little more than 1 hour to the "Maurer Berg" refuge (2.157 M). For those who feel fit the walk goes on to the Maurer Berg peak (2.332 M.) where the view towards Badia Valley, the hearth of the Dolomites, the Rina and Plose peaks, simply fantastic is! We walk back to the refuge for lunch. After lunch we go in direction of the parking place taking a differnt path passing by the "Pecol" refuge (1.930 M). Difficulty: middle / easy. >>>
Excursion to the Scotoni refuge (2.040 m.) and the Lagazuoi mountain lake (2.122 m.)
We drive the Badia Valley up until La Villa. The cross on the left side brings us in direction of the Falzarego pass. On the beginning of the pass, on the left side, we reach the "Capanna Alpina" refuge (1.720 m) where we start hiking. After one hour we reach the Scotoni refuge (2.040 m.). Within a further hour we arrive to the majestic Lagazuoi mountain lake (2.122 M.) with a wonderful panorama over the Lagazuoi Dolomites. We walk back to the refuge for an appetizing lunch and later we leave for going back to the Capanna Alpina. >>>
The "Armentara" (1.800 m) meadows and the holy place "La Crûsc" (2.045 m)
We drive for about 25 minutes from Aqua Bad Cortina to "La Val" village. Shortly above we park our cars and start our hike first in the wood. After a short truck we reach the wonderful "Armentara" meadows. At the top there is a small path that brings us to the holy place "La Crûsc". There we can admire the wonderul view, the small church and we'll have a good lunch in the refuge. After lunch we will start back home. >>>
TuresValley-Mühlwald-Neves Lake and "Giovanni Porro" Refuge - 2.420 m
We drive out the Badia Valley and cross shortly the Pusteria Valley and reach than the Tures Valley. After about 45 minutes we park our car at the "Neves" lake and start our real excursion. First on a mountain street than on a path, after 5 km we reach our target: the "Giovanni Porro" refuge, where we can admire the wonderful view and enjoy a good meal! After lunch we start back home. >>>
Anterselva Lake (1.642 m) and Stalle Pass (2.052-2.200 m) and "Montal" refuge (1.890 m)
From San Vigilio we drive to the Furcia pass and after parhaps 40 minutes we reach the end of the Anterselva Valley where we find the Anterselva Lake. The path nr. 11 brings us to the Stalle Pass. Above we reach the highest point of our excursion at 2.200 meters and we start descending. Our target for lunch is the "Montal" alm, at 1.890 m, well known for the good kitchen. The fine path brings us back to the starting point. Difficulty: medium / easy. >>>
