Plan de Corones: the number one ski resort in South Tyrol

Plan de Corones, today the number one ski resort in South Tyrol, owes its excellent reputation to the first-rate quality of the ski lifts, the most modern in Europe and probably in the world, and the absolutely superlative preparation of the slopes. But also the name of this mountain, sometimes also called "panettone" (sugar cake), reveals yet another strong point: the panorama. In fact, from the very top, "Plan", you can enjoy a 360° view on the crowns "Corones", the snowy peaks on the border to Austria and to Switzerland, way into the heart of the Dolomites, with a clear view of the Marmolada.
The ski slopes, which start directly from the village center of San Vigilio, are connected to the top of the Plan de Corones, as well as with the Val Badia and thereby also with the famous Sella Ronda and the entire Dolomiti Superski area.
The easy slopes, close to the village center, are especially suitable for children and families, and can also be discovered walking by foot, for all those who are not skiing, but want to cheer at their friends and families.
The black slopes, however, as the dreaded Erta, Piculin, Sylvester and Herrnegg will without doubt guarantee maximum fun even to professional skiers!
The guests of the Aqua Bad Cortina can store their equipment in a practical private storeroom directly on the slopes, and then return to the hotel in their own shuttle bus.
