Four Natural Parks near the Aqua Bad Cortina Oasis Hotel

San Vigilio di Marebbe is the gateway to the Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies, which today - together with other protected areas in the Dolomites – is a UNESCO World Heritage site - the best warranty and appreciation for the beauty of these places.
Fanes-Sennes-Braies is one of the largest and most beautiful natural parks in the entire Alpine region, especially in terms of flora, fauna and geological composition, which is characterized by karst formations in the Dolomite rock. Typical of these places are fir, larch and pine forests. The fauna includes deer, chamois, ibex, marmots and golden eagles.
The "House of the Nature Park” in San Vigilio - a very interesting small museum for adults and children - was established to help explain in detail and determine the origin of the mountains, animals and plants in the Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Braies. From time to time, the museum hosts very interesting exhibitions.
Only a few kilometers from San Vigilio there is the Passo delle Erbe, an important symbol of the Nature Park Puez Odle, home to the majestic mountain Putia. A few dozen kilometers away, there are, among others, the nature parks Vedrette di Ries-Aurina and Dolomiti di Sesto, two more important symbols of the natural beauty of South Tyrol.
